WHERE I COME FROM

I am a hardworking, strong woman, mother, and wife that has achieved everything that I have set my mind to by never giving up.  I moved to Florida from New York at the age of 8 years old, shortly after moving here my parents got divorced.  I had to grow up very fast.  I have a brother that is 4 years younger than me, and I stepped in and took on a role of another parent as we got older, and both of my parents had to work to provide for us.  I got my first job at the age of 14 and never looked back.  At 16 I had saved enough to buy my first car; it was a 1988 Honda Civic.  This car was so rough that I had to drive with two feet at all time because, if I took my foot off the accelerator when I braked the car would stall out.

When I graduated high school, I was determined to go to college.  I went to Tallahassee to attend Florida State and after one semester had to come home.  My parents could not afford to pay for the difference between my Bright Futures Scholarship and the total cost.  I was only 17 and was not old enough to sign any loan documents on my own.  I was heartbroken but, determined that I would rise and still accomplish my goals of being successful.  Today, I can say that I am a successful wife and mother to two beautiful children.

A THRIVING CAREER

By all accounts I should not be where I am in my professional career.  I have worked in the Construction and Development industry since I was about 19 years old.  Today at 36 years old I am a Financial Controller for a Developer as well as a Financial Consultant for another Developer/Construction company.  I am what America stands for.  I can drive through South Florida and look at different buildings and say, “I helped build that.”  It does not matter what your background or the challenges in life, if you set your mind on something you can accomplish it here.  I know that as my children grow up and get older, they can look up at me and be proud

MISSION STATEMENT

I Want to be your Voice.

Having a voice is so important!  The 1st amendment is crucial to us being able to continue with the way of life that we all want to enjoy.  I want to help give the voice back to the people in Sunny South Florida!  I want to be your State Representative!  Holding an office like State Representative gives me the opportunity to really bring our community voice up to Tallahassee.  I am only the mouth piece for the people that I hope to represent.
